About

The Work Makes Sense When You Know the Background

Eight years as an Army infantryman. Five years as an NC State Trooper. A decade behind the camera. Those are not separate chapters — they inform each other in every job I take on.

High-pressure, high-stakes environments build a specific skill set: situational awareness, the ability to operate without direction, and an instinct for what matters in any given moment. That is what you bring to a wedding day. That is what you bring to a documentary shoot or a recruitment campaign where the subject is not used to being filmed.

I work across weddings, families, branding, commercial, and public safety media. Each serves a different client, but the approach is the same — show up prepared, stay present, and deliver work that performs.

What Grounds It

Husband. Father. That's Why Any of This Matters.

Before I was a photographer or a soldier or a trooper, I was someone who understood that the people in front of the camera matter more than the camera. Being a husband and a father made that permanent.

When I photograph a family, I already know what those moments mean — because I am living them too. When I shoot a wedding, I understand the weight of the day not just as a professional but as someone who has stood where the groom stands. That changes how I work. It makes me more patient, more present, and more aware of what is actually worth capturing.

The military gave me discipline. Law enforcement gave me composure. My family gives me the reason to care about doing the work right. Every session, every film, every campaign — it all comes back to that.

The Approach

How This Works

Preparation

Every job starts with a detailed understanding of what is needed. Whether that is a wedding timeline, a brand brief, or a recruitment campaign scope — I know the objective before I show up.

Presence

On location I am fully focused on what is happening. I do not miss things because I am looking down at a screen or waiting for something to set up. The work happens in real time.

Execution

The job gets done. Equipment fails, timelines shift, weather changes. None of that affects the outcome — because planning for contingencies is part of the preparation.

Delivery

Files delivered in the formats you need, on the timeline agreed to. No chasing, no delays, no excuses. The work is done when I say it will be done.
